The Canary Islands are among the best places in the world to observe the night sky. An exceptionally clean atmosphere, minimal light pollution, and altitude allow for the visibility of no less than 83 of the 88 constellations visible from the Earth's surface from Tenerife. It is not just any place for astronomy; it is one of the best on the planet.
During this intimate two-hour excursion, participants observe the Moon, planets, and deep-sky objects such as galaxies, nebulae, and globular clusters through a professional telescope. The program is enriched with interesting facts about the cosmos, stars, and planets, and for the little ones, educational elements are presented in a simple manner.
Observations take place at an altitude of over 1000 m above sea level. Even in summer, the nighttime temperature usually ranges from 5 to 15 °C, and in winter it can drop to near 0 °C. It is advisable to wear warm clothing.
Organizational Information
The excursion is conducted in Polish. The duration is approximately 2 hours. The most convenient way to arrive is by private car, although transportation can be organized as much as possible. The need for transportation should be indicated when making the reservation.
